SARS Resequencing Array
The GeneChip® SARS Array provides a standard assay for complete sequence analysis of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). This product is for research purposes only and not intended for use in the diagnosis of disease. The SARS resequencing array is supported on existing Affymetrix instrumentation.
SARS-CoV Array Program
An initial offering of GeneChip SARS Resequencing Arrays will be distributed at no cost to qualifying researchers through the Pathogen Functional Genomics Resource Center (PFGRC), which is operated by The J. Craig Venter Institute (JCVI, formerly The Institute for Genomic Research) under contract with the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). The SARS-CoV array program is part of an ongoing effort by NIAID to promote genomics approaches to improve the understanding of pathogenic microbes and the diseases they cause.
Researchers, regardless of affiliation can apply for GeneChip SARS resequencing arrays and other reagents using a simple web-based application process at the Pathogen Functional Genomics Research Center, which is based at in Rockville, MD. For more details, please refer to the Pathogen Functional Genomics Resource Center.
